Box Office| June 19th

The Proposal (Romantic Comedy), Year One (Adventure Comedy), Dead Snow & Whatever Works ready for show this coming Friday.

As for me if 1 movie to choose for this week visit to the theater I would go for the adventure comedy starring Jack Black & Michael Cera: Year One.

Synopsis of the movie taken from the official website is about two men wander through early civilization in biblical times. In the film the main characters Black and Cera play a couple of lazy hunter-gatherers. After being banished from their village they embark on this epic journey that eventually leads them to the city of Sodom. Written and directed by Harold Ramis, Year One also boasts with tons of cameos appearances from David Cross, Paul Rudd, Olivia Wilde, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Oliver Platt, Hank Azaria, Vinnie Jones, Juno Temple and Ramis himself. Produced by Ramis and Judd Apatow after the former appeared in the latter's "Knocked Up." Oliver Platt, Olivia Wilde, Vinnie Jones, David Cross, and "Superbad's" Christopher Mintz-Plasse co-star in the Columbia Pictures production.

Folks from various website get the opportunity to visit the films set back 2008 kinda like the movie and think it will totally entertain. The movie was filming in Shreveport, Louisiana last summer which had had become its own mini Hollywood thanks to fabulous tax incentives, and a number of different movies were shooting there. This 1 & ½ hours movie rated as PG-13 crude and sexual content throughout, brief strong language and comic violence surely some folks might not get the jokes in the movie but all Jack Black fans will not missed it. So any 1st timer out there plans to see Jack Black in action need to keep and open mind.
