Ghostbusters (Blu-ray) & Friday the 13^th: Extended Killer Cut, Part2, Part3 (Blu-ray) out this week.

Ghostbusters movie released back in 1984 gross >$234m now in Blu-ray format starring Bill Murray , Dan Aykroyd , Sigourney Weaver , Harold Ramis & Rick Moranis. The movie is about a group of quirky scientists form a team that hunts down ghosts in New York City. An 80s phenomenon and classic comedy, with Bill Murray upstaging everything in his path (including a huge marshmallow). Ivan Reitman nails the mix of humor and action perfectly, the lovely Sigourney Weaver holds her own against a cast at the top of their game (Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Rick Moranis). What extra in this version are the cast and crew commentary and the "Slime Time" picture-in-picture option. However, one of the main reasons this Blu-ray exists is to promote the new Ghostbusters video game, and they don't let you forget it by including a bunch of either round-about or straight-forward featurettes.

Friday the 13th is about a deformed killer who drowned at summer camp as a child due to negligence stalks the woods as an adult mutilating drug-fueled and sex-crazed teenagers. Jason is definitely born again, this time as a nimble hunter (he can use a bow and arrow!) rather than a lethargic demon wandering the woods in slo-mo; It has all the necessary gore, nudity, and startling kills to make it the ideal slasher flick; if you liked the Texas Chainsaw Massacre reboot then you'll love it. The Blu-ray exclusives offer a fun picture-in-picture "Terror Trivia Track" and a featurette where the cast and crew recall their favorite Friday the 13th moments ("Hacking Back/Slashing Forward). There's also a featurette on remaking Jason ("The Rebirth of Jason Vorhees for a New Moviegoing Era"), some deleted/extended scenes, a countdown of the seven best kills, and a digital copy.
